The Afghan owner here is also the cook. This is my go to no frills spot for my lamb shank and Kabuli palao rice. It was almost 11pm Tuesday night & we were the last customers, as they waited for us to finish they wrapped up the food & turned of the grill, started cleaning up & began closing shop, then a couple walked in & the owner without saying a word took their order & seated them, then another person walked in and he fired up the grill and took the food out again & started cooking. I asked him, "I thought you were closing?" He looked at me and said, "people are hungry, tell me what can I do?" The thought of telling people he's closed & turning them away didnt even cross his mind.
I really love coming to eat here. The food is great and so are the people.

My meal here will go in the "ships passing in the night" category - I'm glad I had the chance to try the restaurant, and none of the food was bad, but nothing was quite memorable enough to get me to return.
My accommodating non-vegetarian friends agreed to a mostly vegetarian spread for the table, excepting an order of chicken tikka. We shared lobiya, eggplant, okra, and an order of aushack dumplings to start, not to mention heaps and heaps of rice.
The aushack was probably my least favorite of the dishes. The dumplings fell apart quickly and the texture was rather unsatisfying.
The vegetables were all well-cooked and seasoned - the okra was the tastiest in my opinion and paired well with the Afghan bread on the side. My non-veg friends felt pretty meh about the chicken. -

I have been going to this place since I was 5 years old. This place is amazing the food and the people are amazing. The chicken kebab is my go to and the white sauce is to die for!!! Honestly, go here you will not regret it.

After returning a few times, I've confirmed it's an overall okay place to dine in. The setting is somewhat dark and gloomy, especially when being welcomed by the infamous robotic, dull faced waiter man. Place is old and looking run down, deff needs renovation and new cutlery/utensils. The waiter seems to be doing almost everything on top of taking your order - including handling food without gloves and/or hair nets. Though I've yet to catch him touch anything edible with his bare hands or any hair / cantamination on our plates.
Regardless of what's mentioned above, I RETURN for their lamb shank & kebab combo - it's THAT good. Nice portioned shank with almost any type of kebab you ask for. Their chicken kebab is pretty much the best I've eaten, compared to other middle eastern cuisine spots. The other kebabs is mediocre. The salad is always fresh. Their baklava is okay. Their fried pumpkin pockets is a must try!
Portion to pricing ratio is good. Deff worth a try, reccomend! -

The food was good, but honestly it was literally a house. The decor was eh, like it's seems very sketchy and old. The sauce is NOT good. We ordered the lamb and chicken over rice, the rice is pretty different, very salty. And the lamb is very good. The chicken is good too. They give a complimentary salad so that's nice. It's not a fancy place to eat, just a basic quick bite.
